my highlights with the humane society of harford county

  • Raising Cane's Grand Opening, September 16th, 2025

HSHC had a wonderful morning at the Raising Cane’s Grand Opening in Bel Air! We were honored to be invited as special guests and had the chance to meet the amazing Cane’s owners, their hardworking crew, the Bel Air High School Marching Band & Cheerleaders, and so many friendly faces from the community.

What touched our hearts most was Cane’s incredible generosity — they donated $1,000 to support the homeless animals of HSHC. That’s what One Love® is all about: not just great food, but caring for the community too. Murphy and Thor will be rocking their Cane’s swag at the shelter until they find their forever home — together.

  • Fur & Fury Smash Bash Event, July 12th, 2025

The Fur & Fury Smash Bash was a one-of-a-kind, high-energy fundraiser hosted in collaboration with Wreck Creation Rage Room — and it was exactly what it sounds like! Participants donated to the Humane Society of Harford County for a chance to step into the rage room and smash a junk car with tools like sledgehammers, bats, and more — all in a safe, controlled environment. Not only was it a great way to release some stress, but every swing helped raise money to care for homeless pets in need.

This unique event brought together animal lovers, volunteers, and local businesses for a day of fun, impact, and community support. All proceeds went directly to helping provide shelter, medical care, and love to the animals at HSHC.

Pets in Progress: Shelter, Foster & Future Friends

“When I was the Marketing and Development Coordinator at the Humane Society of Harford County in Fallston, Maryland, I had the privilege of blending creativity with compassion. In that role, I captured the unique personalities of our shelter and foster pets — from energetic puppies to cuddly kittens — through photography and content creation, helping them find loving forever homes. 📸🐾

I also planned and executed engaging fundraisers and community events, including the Fur & Fury Smash Bash, which raised critical funds and connected our mission with supporters in fun, meaningful ways. During my time there, I highlighted the heart of the organization while driving awareness, donations, and adoptions through compelling campaigns and events.

Although I no longer work there, I still volunteer my time through their Doggie Day Out program — taking shelter dogs out for a day, spending one-on-one time with them, and capturing updated photos to help boost their chances of finding a home. 🐶💛”
